The waitlist

Joining the waitlist is a request for access, not a guarantee of it. We may open access in any order, and we may decide not to open it to a particular address. There is no charge and no obligation on either side.

The beta

Access to the beta is personal to you and not transferable. Apex is unfinished software: it will have defects, features will change, and availability is not guaranteed. Do not rely on it as your only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Your material

What you upload stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as is needed to run the product for you — transcribing a recording, generating cards, linking a card back to its source. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including any recording you make of a class.

Generated cards are drafts

Apex uses AI to draft cards from your material and links every card to the source it came from so you can verify it. It is a study aid, not a clinical reference, and it is not a substitute for your instructors, your textbooks or your professional judgement. Check anything that matters.

Acceptable use

Do not use Apex to break the law, to infringe someone else's copyright, or to upload material you have no right to. Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other users' accounts. We may suspend access that does any of these.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The beta is provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it — including academic outcomes. Apex is a tool for studying; it does not do the studying.

Changes

These terms will change as the product does, and the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use Apex after a change means you accept the revised terms.
