Apex Memory

Privacy policy

Apex Memory is in closed beta. This page describes what we collect today — which is very little — and what we do with it.

Last updated: 30 July 2026.

If you join the waitlist

We store your email address and the date you submitted it. That is the entire record.

We do not store your IP address, browser, device or referrer alongside it. We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this site. Your address is used for exactly one thing: a single message when access opens. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone else, and we do not add you to a newsletter.

Like any website, the servers that deliver this page keep short-lived operational logs that can include IP addresses, for security and reliability purposes. Those logs are not linked to your waitlist entry.

If you use the beta

The Apex application stores the material you put into it — recordings, documents, notes — along with the cards generated from it and your review history. Keeping the original source is what lets every card link back to the sentence, page or timestamp it came from; the citation feature does not work without it.

Your material is used to run the product for you. It is not sold, and it is not shared with other users. Where a third-party service is needed to make a feature work — transcription and card generation both involve one — only the material required for that specific task is sent.

Recording lectures

Apex can record a lecture, but it cannot tell whether you are allowed to. Recording policies differ between institutions and between instructors, and complying with yours is your responsibility.

Deleting your data

Write to privacy@apexmemory.ai and we will remove your waitlist entry, or your account and its contents, and confirm when it is done.

Changes to this policy

Apex is early and this policy will grow as the product does. Material changes will be dated at the top of this page. If a change affects how we handle something you have already given us, we will tell waitlist members by email rather than quietly editing the page.
